Alarm Monitor $25.00 Hourly + Health & Welfare Benefits
· At least 21 years of age; high school diploma or GED.
· Minimum two years of experience in security operations, facility monitoring, or security surveillance.
· SECRET security clearance (interim or final) and ability to maintain required facility access, badges, and CACs.
· Pass pre-performance drug test and criminal background check; participate in required random drug testing.
· English literacy sufficient to understand procedures and prepare complete written logs/reports.
· Ability to perform interior and exterior access-control duties, including vehicle processing/inspection when required by local procedures.
· Complete all Government-required security, OPSEC, antiterrorism, access, privacy, acceptable-use, and local-procedure training.
The Visitor Access Control Point Monitor verifies identity and access, greets and processes visitors, provides temporary badges in accordance with local procedures, escorts personnel needing temporary access to restricted areas, logs activity, and supports professional telephone routing when required. The role emphasizes courteous, efficient visitor processing and continuous access-point coverage.
The Facility Monitor provides continuous control-room monitoring of intrusion detection and video surveillance systems. Facility Monitors are interchangeable and must maintain situational awareness, recognize system conditions, respond promptly to alarms and events, document actions, and notify appropriate Government/security personnel.
The Entry Control Point Monitor controls access at designated entry points by greeting personnel, inspecting badges, verifying identity and authorization, denying and documenting unauthorized access, and monitoring/logging vehicles when required by local procedures. The ECPM maintains continuous coverage and promptly notifies designated Government/security personnel of irregular or emergency events.
