Guard-Systems, Inc. is hiring an experienced Patrolling Officer for a luxury residential community located in Downtown Los Angeles near Crypto.com Arena.

This is an active, customer-facing security position for someone who enjoys staying on the move. Approximately 80% of the shift will be spent walking and patrolling the property, making this a great opportunity for someone who wants to get their steps in while maintaining a strong and visible security presence.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of security experience, excellent situational awareness, and the confidence to professionally de-escalate challenging situations. Because of the property’s Downtown Los Angeles location, you must be comfortable interacting with a wide range of individuals and addressing loitering, unauthorized persons, and other security concerns calmly and professionally.

We also need someone with a welcoming, upbeat, “Disneyland-style” personality. You will work closely with the in-house property team and assist residents, guests, vendors, and staff with front desk and customer service needs.

Schedule

Wednesday & Thursday 6pm - Midnight + Saturday & Sunday 1pm - 9pm

Pay Rate

$19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on relevant security experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent interior and exterior foot patrols throughout the property
• Maintain a visible, alert, and professional security presence
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and property issues
• Professionally address loitering, unauthorized individuals, and disturbances
• Use strong communication and de-escalation skills when handling difficult situations
• Assist the in-house team with front desk coverage and access control
• Greet residents, guests, vendors, and employees with a warm and helpful attitude
• Provide directions and respond to general questions
• Complete clear and detailed daily activity and incident reports
• Follow all site procedures and immediately report significant incidents
• Work collaboratively with property management and the on-site team

Qualifications

• Valid California Guard Card
• At least two years of professional security experience
• Comfortable walking and remaining on your feet for approximately 80% of the shift
• Strong observation, de-escalation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Comfortable working in a busy Downtown Los Angeles environment
• Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service oriented
• Vigilant and capable of noticing small details
• Professional appearance and communication
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Able to write clear and accurate security reports
• Comfortable balancing hospitality with firm enforcement of property policies
