Graveyard Security Officer – Little Tokyo Commercial Property

Guard-Systems, Inc. is hiring an experienced Graveyard Security Officer for a busy commercial property in the heart of Little Tokyo.
This property includes retail tenants and experiences a high volume of pedestrian, visitor, and vehicle traffic due to its central Downtown Los Angeles location. We are looking for an alert, confident, and highly experienced officer who has previously worked graveyard shifts and understands the expectations of a professional Class A commercial property.
This is not a quiet or completely stationary overnight position. The officer must remain vigilant, maintain a visible security presence, assist with access control, and complete regular patrols throughout the property.
Schedule
- Tuesday: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Thursday: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Friday: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Part-time schedule: 24 hours per week
Starting Pay
$20.50 per hour
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitoring the property and surrounding areas for suspicious activity
- Completing patrols for approximately one hour every two hours
- Remaining on your feet and visible throughout the shift
- Monitoring entrances, retail areas, common areas, and building activity
- Providing professional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and guests
- Responding calmly and professionally to incidents or unusual activity
- Completing clear and detailed daily activity and incident reports
- Following established post orders, emergency procedures, and access-control protocols
Required Experience
- Minimum of four years of professional security experience
- Previous Class A high-rise or commercial building security experience
- Previous graveyard security experience
- Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills
- Comfortable working in a busy Downtown Los Angeles environment
- Able to patrol and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently
