Position Summary
As a Security Officer, you will:
- Escort and supervise assigned cruise line crew members in accordance with DHS and CBP regulations.
- Maintain continuous visual supervision of the assigned individuals throughout the entire assignment.
- Ensure all escort requirements are followed while maintaining professionalism and respect.
- Remain alert and attentive at all times
- Treat crew members, clients, and colleagues with courtesy, respect, and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and management.
- Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
- Follow all company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and client requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Security officers must be within ten feet of the crewmember and must not leave them alone at any time. The security officer must escort the crewmember EVERYWHERE. Courtesy is encouraged. The crewmembers are under supervision to ensure their departure from the U.S. under the rules and regulations of the Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Documentation & Reporting
- Completing accurate incident reports, logs, and required documentation.
- Maintaining accurate timesheets and assignment records.
- Reporting incidents and operational concerns promptly.
- Officers must adhere to company and regulatory reporting standards.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a Plus
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Security, military, law enforcement training/or experience is preferred.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Active Florida Security Officer License Class D required.
- Knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and DHS/CBP escort requirements. (is a Plus)
- Ability to communicate effectively—verbally and in writing.
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain appropriate security licenses.
- Make independent good judgment decisions within proper policy or procedure.
- Ability to obtain required IDs (TWIC card and airport security credentials)
Physical Requirements
- Work indoor and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Maintain constant awareness of their surroundings.
- Walk and stand for extended periods.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to changing situations.
- Escort individuals through airports, ports, hotels, and other assigned locations.
