• The position is: Full Time
• Work Shifts Available: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Overnight
• Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan
• Workdays Available: Candidates should be flexible, Monday – Sunday
• Weekly pay
• Pay Rate: $18.87 per hour
• Must exhibit great customer service skills, will be interacting with the general public daily, and will interact with clients and staff
• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Perform continuous fire watch patrols throughout shelter premises, particularly when fire detection or suppression systems are non-operational or impaired
• Conduct scheduled rounds of all floors, stairwells, exits, common areas, and mechanical rooms
• Identify and document fire hazards, obstructions to exits, blocked egress paths, and unsafe conditions
• Maintain a written fire watch log recording patrol times, observations, and any incidents or irregularities

•    Valid NYC FDNY F-02 Fire Guard Certificate of Fitness (required)

•    Valid NYS Security Guard License — or willingness to obtain

•    High school diploma or GED equivalent

•    Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor

•    Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

•    Strong communication and observation skills
