Armed ACT 235 Security Supervisor (Full-Time)

Location: Pittsburgh, PASchedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PMPay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Armed Security Supervisor with a current Pennsylvania ACT 235 certification to oversee and manage security operations during their assigned shift. The successful candidate will lead a team of armed security officers, ensure the safety and security of the property, enforce policies and procedures, and respond to security incidents and emergencies in a professional manner.

This position requires strong leadership skills, security experience, and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of armed security officers during assigned shifts.
• Conduct regular security patrols on foot and by vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Enforce company policies, post orders, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns while providing effective leadership and direction.
• De-escalate conflicts and handle difficult situations professionally and calmly.
• Train, mentor, and support security personnel to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
• Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift summaries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related issues during the shift.
• Monitor access control points and ensure proper screening of personnel and visitors.
• Ensure officers have the necessary equipment and resources to perform their duties.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and maintaining appropriate shift coverage.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania ACT 235 certification (Required).
• Minimum 2 years of security supervisory, shift supervisor, or security management experience.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency response procedures, and incident management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively supervise, motivate, and train a team.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies and high-stress situations.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Required).
• Must possess a reliable personal vehicle and be willing to use it for job-related duties and patrols as needed (Required).
• Experience with de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR, First Aid, and additional security certifications are a plus.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Employment Requirements

• Must successfully pass all required background checks and screening processes.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Must be legally authorized to carry a firearm while performing armed security duties in accordance with ACT 235 requirements.
