Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Pottsville, PA

Schedule: 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts open / Full-Time and Part-Time

• 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Pay: $16.32 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Pottsville, PA. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by performing patrols, monitoring for risks, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform foot, vehicle, bicycle, or golf cart patrols of assigned areas
• Identify and report security risks, safety hazards, or emergency situations
• Monitor premises and enforce site-specific policies and procedures
• Provide customer service and assist visitors, staff, and clients as needed
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with company policies
• Complete detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Follow all company standards, including attendance, appearance, and conduct
• Participate in required training and orientation programs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of work experience preferred (security, law enforcement, military, or customer service)
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Customer service-focused with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Must be dependable with reliable transportation

Requirements

• Must pass a background check and drug screening (if required)
• Must possess any required state licenses/permits for security work
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required
• Ability to operate a vehicle, golf cart, or bicycle if needed
• Must maintain all required certifications throughout employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior military or law enforcement experience
• Previous experience in the security industry
