Position Title: Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Baltimore, MD 21206

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $20/hr.

Securemedy is seeking qualified Unarmed Security Officers to support operations at a federal facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Officers will play a critical role in protecting personnel, sensitive materials, and government property while ensuring compliance with federal security regulations. This position requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Screen employees, visitors, and contractors; verify IDs and access credentials
• Operate security screening equipment (metal detectors, x-ray systems)
• Conduct routine patrols and monitor CCTV/alarm systems for suspicious activity
• Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and evacuations
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed
• Enforce federal regulations, policies, and site-specific security procedures
• Prepare incident reports, maintain logs, and document violations or accidents
• Provide directions and assistance to staff and visitors while maintaining professionalism.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Maryland Security Guard License
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in security
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of access control, security operations, emergency response, and situational awareness
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Active driver’s license and a clean driving record.
