Responsibilities:

· Patrol library premises regularly to ensure safety and security of staff and patrons.

· Collaborate with library personnel to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.

· Provide immediate response to incidents or emergencies, ensuring a swift and effective resolution.

· Educate library staff and visitors on safety protocols and emergency procedures.

· Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.

· Assist in the training of library staff on security-related matters and best practices.

· Foster positive relationships with library patrons to encourage a cooperative atmosphere.

Requirements:

· Valid armed security or law enforcement license.

· Proven experience in security operations, preferably in public or community settings.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with library staff and patrons.

· Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in emergency situations.

· Understanding safety procedures and emergency response protocols.

· Flexible availability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
