Security Supervisor (Unarmed)

Location: Cumberland, MD

Pay: $22.00/hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Position Summary

We are seeking a tech-savvy and hands-on Security Supervisor to oversee daily security operations, personnel, and site safety. This role leads the Security Operations Center (SOC) and is responsible for monitoring multiple sites, maintaining critical security systems, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have advanced computer skills, strong leadership abilities, and experience working in regulated or high-security environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily security operations, SOC activities, and security personnel
• Monitor live video feeds across multiple locations and respond to incidents in real time
• Operate and maintain surveillance, alarm, and access control systems
• Utilize systems such as Vigilante AAC, NVMS-V3, Napco Gemini, Bosch, and similar platforms
• Facilitate and track deliveries using Verizon Connect Fleet Management
• Maintain and update detailed Excel spreadsheets and digital logs with high accuracy
• Review live and recorded surveillance footage for investigations and reporting
• Conduct patrols, audits, and identify potential safety and security risks
• De-escalate incidents involving employees, visitors, or customers
• Maintain detailed documentation (DARs, incident reports, investigations)
• Manage access control, credentials, and property accountability
• Ensure all security systems are fully operational and escalate technical issues as needed
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders
• Create schedules, manage staffing, and support training and development
• Supervise, coach, and discipline security personnel when necessary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of security experience with supervisory responsibility
• Active Maryland Guard License (required)
• Advanced computer skills required, especially in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet management is a core duty)
• Experience monitoring multiple systems and sites simultaneously
• Strong working knowledge of security platforms such as Avigilon, NVMS-V3, Napco Gemini, Bosch, Verizon Connect, or similar
• Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, and digital reporting systems
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., banking, cannabis, or similar)
• Experience in multi-site or SOC environments
• CPR / First Aid certification
• Professional security certifications
