Unarmed Security Officer – Gatehouse Post

Location: Newark, NJ

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer for a Gatehouse Post in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have prior security experience, maintain high professional standards, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and site procedures.

This role requires a security professional who can effectively monitor access to the property, maintain a visible presence, and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor entry and exit at the gatehouse
• Verify visitor credentials and maintain accurate access logs
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence
• Enforce site safety and security policies
• Conduct routine monitoring of the entrance and surrounding areas
• Report incidents, suspicious activity, or safety concerns promptly
• Communicate effectively with management, staff, and visitors

Requirements

• Active NJ SORA Guard Card License (Required)
• Previous security experience required
• Strong professional demeanor and communication skills
• Ability to follow strict safety and security procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during the entire shift
