Unity Building Security Inc. is hiring licensed unarmed Security Officers for the upcoming 32BJ Possible Strike in April 20, 2026 . Please note, this is a temporary position, and the length of this project will be determined by the duration of the strike.

$20.00 - $22.00

All Candidates that apply must have:

1.     Valid NY State Security License

2.     Proof to work in the United States

3. Good Communcation Skills: Written and Verbal

4. Checkable Referrences

Must complete NYS Sexual Harassment Training within the last year (Company will provide free of charge) This training must be completed prior to assignment.

Security Officers will be required to have this availability:

  • 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am daily

This position is potentially scheduled to start on April 20 and last for an undetermined length of time. Shifts will be 12 hours in duration and will be 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am for the first week of the strike. If this strike extends beyond the initial week of shifts, every effort will be made to modified the schedule to 8-hour shifts.

The selected candidates will perform various security officer duties as outlined by contract requirements and site-specific post orders.

These duties may include:

  • Access control for guests and customers
  • Enforcing client and company policies and procedures
  • Observation and reporting of fire and safety hazards
  • Conducting routine foot patrols in and around buildings
  • Reporting all pertinent issues and incidents to their supervisor, clients, and other department managers
  • Interacting with a variety of people including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees, and the public
  • Write reports
  • Other assigned duties
Education Requirements (All)
HS / GED
Certification Requirements (All)
NYS Security Guard License
