Prosegur is seeking a highly skilled and professional Security Officer to join our security team at a corporate headquarters for a Fortune 200 company. This position combines security responsibilities with emergency medical support, ensuring a safe environment for employees, contractors, and visitors while providing immediate medical assistance when necessary.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 0700 - 1500

Responsibilities: 

· Access Control and Monitoring: Manage and monitor all entry points to the facility, verifying credentials and ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors gain access.

- Assists supervisors with site operations

· Emergency Medical Response: Provide immediate medical assistance as a certified EMT in case of medical emergencies, assessing situations and administering appropriate care until further medical personnel arrive.

· Surveillance and Incident Management: Monitor security systems, including CCTV, to detect and respond to any suspicious activities or incidents. Maintain a vigilant presence throughout the facility to deter potential security threats.

· Customer Service Excellence: Interact with employees, contractors, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, assisting with inquiries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of incidents, medical responses, and visitor logs. Prepare detailed reports for management, ensuring that all documentation is thorough and compliant with company policies.

- Manages all new hire training and completion paperwork

· Emergency Preparedness: Plan and manage monthly drills related to both security and emergency medical response, ensuring readiness to handle various scenarios effectively.

- Runs site operations when the supervisor is unavailable

- Manages security technology inspections and audits as assigned

· Collaboration: Work closely with other security team members and emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies, fostering a collaborative security approach.

Qualifications:

· Skills:

o Strong observational and decision-making skills to assess and respond to security and medical situations effectively.

o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.

o Ability to provide outstanding customer service while adhering to security protocols.

· Professionalism: Always maintain a polished and professional appearance, demonstrating a commitment to both security and medical excellence.

· Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods, running up and down a flight of stairs, and responding quickly to emergencies including lifting and transporting individuals when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EMR certification or prior certification
  • Experience in a dedicated training role

Physical Requirements:

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)

Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
