Part-Time Weekend Security Officer

Location: Elkhart, IN

Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour

Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays 7:00 AM – 3:00, rest of the week Flex(Open availability for all shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Weekend/Flex Security Officer to provide safety and security services at a client site in Elkhart, Indiana. This position requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to perform routine patrols while maintaining accurate written documentation.

Flex-Open availability for all shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, or other security risks
• Observe, report, and document incidents accurately and thoroughly
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports with clear, legible penmanship
• Enforce site rules and regulations in a professional manner
• Respond appropriately to alarms, safety concerns, and emergencies
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, site personnel, and emergency responders as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Security experience preferred, but not required
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills (mandatory)
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to observe, assess, and respond to situations calmly and effectively
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Must be able to work weekend shifts consistently
• Availability to cover weekday shifts on an as-needed basis

Preferred Skill Sets

• Knowledge of basic security procedures and access control
• Situational awareness and conflict de-escalation skills
• Basic emergency response knowledge (fire, medical, safety incidents)
• Familiarity with incident reporting and log documentation

Compensation

• $15.50 per hour
• Part-time, weekend-based position with occasional weekday coverage opportunities
