Security Shift Supervisor (Full-Time)
Location: Pittsburgh
Schedule: Monday to Friday / 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $27.80 / per hour
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Security Site Supervisor to manage and oversee security operations during their assigned shift. This individual will lead a team of security officers, ensure the safety of the property, enforce policies and procedures, and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, experience in security management, and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security officers during assigned shift.
- Conduct on-site patrols (both foot and vehicle) to ensure the security of the premises.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure smooth security operations.
- Oversee incident response, handling emergencies, and de-escalating potential conflicts.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to security staff, ensuring they are prepared to handle any situation.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily logs, and shift summaries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any security-related issues during the shift.
- Monitor access points and ensure proper screening of personnel and visitors.
- Ensure security officers are fully equipped with necessary resources and equipment.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and ensuring appropriate coverage for all shifts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role within the security industry.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, protocols, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively supervise, motivate, and train a team of security officers.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Clean driving record and willingness to conduct driving patrols if necessary.
- A reliable personal vehicle is required to perform job duties as needed.
- De-escalation skills and experience in handling difficult or stressful situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Security Training) preferred.
- This position requires candidates to be at least 21 years of age.
