The Full Time Flex Lead Security Officer’s key role is to provide security at Priebe Security Services sites where we have a shift opening due to staffing shortage and/or a call off while also providing training and general oversight for the Flex Team.   “Flex Officers” are part of a team of Security professionals who can be deployed to various client sites primarily based on staffing needs.   

Scheduling & Flexibility:  

Fill in as needed to cover open shifts, working at various locations and adapting to different schedules.  

Assist with scheduling needs, ensuring the team is always adequately staffed and that shifts are covered on short notice.  

Fill in for Field Service Managers (FSMs) by covering shifts, performing site visits, and assisting with scheduling adjustment.  

As part of the Operations Leadership team, the Flex Lead will also fill in for FSM’s during vacations and scheduled days off taking calls, filling shifts, conducting site visits and audits and sitting post when necessary.    

Responsible for the monthly training topic, the Flex Lead Officer supports the engagement of the Flex Team by enhancing communication with check-ins and assisting with facilitation of team meetings with the Scheduling Manager.     

Train new Flex officers - As part of training, the Flex Lead will be responsible for working directly with a new Flex Officer to demonstrate professionalism, transfer knowledge required to secure sites, manage propriety information, be a visible deterrent, monitor property access, building operational systems, and enforcing security protocols and property rules.  The Flex Lead will train flex officer to utilize observation skills and acute attention to detail to observe and create well written documentation to support activity on the site during their post. Flex Lead will instill upon the new Flex Officer the importance of customer service, and what that looks like within a Security role as our mission is to provide exceptional customer service while delivering worry-free security services.   

Essential Skills and Abilities:  

• Must be able to perform rigorous foot patrol duties and can be standing and walking for an entire shift
• Must have a sound driving record to drive company vehicle when required to patrol
• Essential duties require the ability to stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs, and walk for an extended period
• Must possess strong customer service skills
• Must be able to operate telephones in a professional manner
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in the use of basic computer knowledge
• Must be able to see and hear to observe and report situations with strong attention to detail required
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Qualifications:  

•  At least 25 years of age for insurance purposes, can have no traffic violations/accidents in the last 5 years
• Must have 3-5 years of Job-related experience (Security, Law Enforcement, Military, First Responder) and customer service experience. Requires a minimum of at least one year of Security Experience.
• Must have at least one-year supervisory experience.
• Proven employment stability in prior positions along with progressive job advancement preferred.
• Must be flexible and adaptable; navigating multiple sites, and schedules to fill open shifts
• Must be willing and open to work a flexible schedule during your assigned 5 days
• Be able to pass a background check & a drug test
• Be able to meet and maintain a Texas DPS Level II licensure requirements and take all steps to obtain license, upon hire
• Basic computer skills, at minimum
