Full Time Retail Security Officer (Armed)  

 Location: Chicago, IL 

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Monday-Friday 11am-7pm / Saturday 10am-7pm / Sunday 12pm-6pm

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour 

Position Summary

If you currently hold an Illinois PERC and FOID card and value professionalism in your work, we want to hear from you. We are seeking professional, polished, and customer-focused Armed Security Officers to support a high-end luxury retail environment in downtown Chicago. The ideal candidate will have prior luxury retail security experience, strong situational awareness, and the ability to maintain a discreet yet authoritative presence. 

Primary Duties

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and merchandise
• Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security protocols
• Monitor store activity to deter theft and suspicious behavior
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents
• Collaborate with store management and team members

Qualifications

• Active IL PERC card
• Active IL FOID card
• 40-hour Illinois Armed Security Training Certificate
• Valid gun permit (Recent re-qualification)
• Personal firearm, Level II or higher holster, and duty belt
• High school diploma or GED
• Preferably 1–3 years of armed security, military, law enforcement, or customer-facing experience
• Strong written communication and report-writing ability
• Reliable transportation for commute
• Must be able to pass a background check

Preferred Skills & Additional Considerations

• Military experience or relevant college coursework
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record (if needed for specific assignments)
• Ability to pass a drug test (if required by location
• Retail experience a PLUS
