Concord Security has great full-time and part-time opportunities for Security Officers to join our high profile team at one of the biggest and busiest shopping centres! This position requires strong social perceptiveness, strong deportment, and impeccable customer service skills, along with the ability to stand and patrol for long periods of time - get your steps in while you work!   

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00/hour

Shift Times: Morning, Afternoon and Overnight Shifts available   

Responsibilities   

• Provide great customer service in a challenging and dynamic environment
• Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with the site policies and procedures
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
• De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel, including; police, fire and paramedic resources
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
• Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reports
• Provide first aid as required
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities

Requirements:    

• Minimum of one year of work experience in the security industry
• Prior experience working in customer service is an asset
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent customer service, active listening, and observational skills
• Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well with others in order to achieve collective goals
• Valid AST preferred
• Valid OFA 2 is preferred
• Physical ability to complete the duties of the job, including but not limited to standing and walking for the majority of your shift
