(Candidates meeting the disability requirements and Veterans encouraged to apply.)  Work Location: Pollock / Pineville, LA Job Summary: Performs basic environmental cleaning services for a multi-complex facility with remote facilities. Work involves coordinating the cleaning and sanitation of training, kitchen, common areas, medical clinic, secure weapon areas and housekeepting services for 24 dorm rooms and 44 person dorm rooms. Conduct training and certification activies of others. Works under limited remote supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Background clearance required.  Essential Duties and Responsible: 

Coordinates and performs general custodial functions such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, light fixtures, carpet and tile floors 

Restroom maintenance, replenishing supplies and applying cleaning chemicals as appropriate 

Performs minor maintenance and repair work on custodial equipment 

Cleans, dust, and inspects areas such as restrooms, offices, and other facilities as needed 

Operates floor maintenance equipment, including buffers, upright and backpack vacuums 

Inspects buildings for cleanliness, completed work, and needed repairs 

Maintains inventory records of building property, custodial equipment, materials, supplies, and equipment 

Performs related tasks as assigned 

Education/Experience: 

• Graduation from a standard High School or equivalent is generally preferred. At least one year experience in custodial work.

Communication Skills: 

• Bilingual (English) and Spanish a plus but not necessary.

Certifications: Obtian industry certifications listed in 90 days.  

Pay: 

On-Call Janitor  with Federal Contractor Wage Determination - 

• $19.00 per hour – Hourly Rate
• $4.93 per hour - Health and Wellness Hourly Pay
• $23.93 per hour - Total Per Hour Pay
• As Needed. Average 24 to 30 hours per week.
