GSG Protective Services is seeking a Armed Security Supervisor to work a variety of sites and posts. Armed Security Supervisors will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of Visitors and staff on the property assigned. Additional duties and responsibilities will be defined in the site-specific post orders.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff during shifts to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to maintain safety and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Handle conflict management situations effectively, ensuring resolution while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Conduct routine patrols of the premises, including buildings and surrounding areas.
- Provide training and support to staff on emergency procedures, including CPR and First Aid protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, staff performance, and shift activities for reporting purposes.
- Carry and properly maintain authorized weapons, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Hold post as necessary
Requirements
- 21+ years of age
- Security Guard Permit as required by state law.
- Firearms Permit as required by state law.
- Chemical Weapons/Pepper Spray Permit as required by state law.
- 3 years security experience
- Documents that establish identity
- Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Listen, understand, summarize, transfer and retain basic instructions and detailed information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain control of a firearm and/or other assigned weapons in a hostile situation.
- Ability to observe and report activity.
- Ability to walk or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to write detailed reports.
- Ability to use computer and smart phone applications.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Customer Service experience
- 5 years Security experience
