Job Summary:  

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security operation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services during their shift of operation. Responsible for the safety and security of the security staff and the client's employees, visitors and guests, communication to the client's management team, and response and documentation of emergency incidents.


Education & Experience Requirements:

  • BS or BA College Degree
  • Military and Work experience can be supplemented
  • 3 years of security officer experience
  • 1+ years or greater in a supervisory role
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities include:

Communication

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the client.
  • Proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve problems before they impact the client.
  • Suggest, develop, and refine improvements to security strategy aligning with evolving goals.

Shift Leadership

  • Supervise security staff, ensure all are performing to the clients expectations.
  • Guide and support security staff, address questions and/or concerns.
  • Pass key information and updates to the next shift supervisor for continuity.

Monitoring

  • Remain vigilant of suspicious behavior or security breaches.
  • Monitor security systems for unauthorized entries and/or equipment failures and/or alerts.
  • Conduct patrols; identify, investigate, and report threats, hazards, or unusual activities.

Incidents and Reporting

  • Follow protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others during emergencies.
  • In emergency situations, notify management at the clients, initiate coordination of response, respond, de-escalate if needed and assist responders where possible.
  • Document all incidents, activities, and security breaches in detailed and accurate reports.
  • Use clear and concise communication to report incidents through established protocols.
