Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Saltsburg, PA

Job Type: Part-time | Weekend

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at an institutional property. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible security presence, monitor access points, and help ensure a safe and orderly environment through consistent patrols and professional interaction.

This position runs through the academic year and is well-suited for individuals seeking steady weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the institutional property
• Check, secure, and monitor doors and designated access points
• Control and log visitor entry in accordance with site procedures
• Maintain a visible, professional security presence at all times
• Observe, report, and document any unusual activity, safety issues, or policy violations
• Respond to incidents in a calm and professional manner
• Complete daily activity logs and required documentation
• Follow all company and client security policies and procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Childline clearance required
• FBI fingerprint clearance required
• Previous security experience preferred
• Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain alert and professional throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Work Environment & Schedule

• Weekend-only position (Saturday and Sunday)
• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Primarily indoor environment with periodic walking patrols
• May work independently or with limited supervision
