Unarmed Security Officer 

Location: Central Pittsburgh 

Job Type: Part-Time and Full-Time

Schedule: All days | 2nd and 3rd shifts

Pay Rate: Varies per site

Job Description

We are seeking professional, reliable, and motivated Unarmed Security Officers to join our team in the Central Pittsburgh area. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors by patrolling premises, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents according to company and site protocols.

Core Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned locations on foot or by vehicle
• Monitor and authorize entry to property
• Observe, report, and document any suspicious activities or safety hazards
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security-related incidents
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional presence
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports

Minimum Requirements

• Must pass a background check
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must complete FBI fingerprinting
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Additional Requirements for Certain Sites

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and own vehicle
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Additional state-required clearances, which may include:
• • FBI clearance
  • Child Abuse clearance
  • Other site-specific credentials

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience (not required)
• CPR/First Aid certification (a plus)
• Strong customer service background
