Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Altoona, PA

Schedule: Friday and Saturday 12am-12pm. Saturday and Sunday 12am-12pm.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour 

About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and observant Unarmed Security Officer to support safety and security operations at a busy freight and logistics warehouse. This position focuses on maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, shipments, and facility assets. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, professional, and able to respond effectively to routine and unexpected situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the warehouse, yard, and loading areas
• Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
• Verify employee, contractor, and driver credentials as required
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation
• Support safe flow of freight operations through visibility and communication
• Respond to incidents calmly and according to company protocols
• Provide customer-service-oriented assistance to employees, drivers, and visitors

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior security, warehouse, logistics, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
• Must pass background screening and any required training
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
