$17.00 / hour

To be considered for employment applicants must have a State of Florida Security License (Class D Security License).
Job Duties Include but are not limited to:
• Greeting patients or visitors in a warm and courteous manner
• Providing patients and visitors directions as requested
• Providing appropriate assistance as needed to patients, visitors, and employees, in an expedient and professional manner
• Promote good public relations through courteous, helpful, and professional contact with a variety of persons including patients, clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public
• Maintain constant surveillance of assigned areas providing maximum visibility to deter unwelcome or unlawful activity
• Being alert to observe, correct, and report safety and security hazards
• Assure that all persons entering the building are authorized to do so
• Complete any Incident Reports, Daily Activity Reports, or other written documents as requested by the client
• Enforce rules and policies of the property in your assigned area
• Help maintain the cleanliness and exceptional appearance of the hospital lobby by reporting issues to the appropriate department
Requirements
• State of Florida Security License Required
• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Have reliable means of transportation and communication
• Pass all required background and drug screenings
• Provide proof of REQUIRED vaccinations (or be willing to receive required vaccinations) prior before first day of duty to include:
1. Influenza (Flu shot)
2. PPD (Tuberculosis test within last two years)
3. TDAP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
4. VZV (Chicken Pox)
5. Hep B
6. MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• Must present oneself in a professional manner through appearance and conduct at all times while on duty
• Must keep uniforms clean and presentable at all times
• Must not leave your post until your replacement has arrived
• Must understand and comply with all client regulations
• Must have a good understanding and follows DSI’s Code of Ethics
• Must receive training and become familiar with general safety procedures, as well as DSI’s safety manual
• Must attend and continue to receive security training as required by Client or DSI’s training program
