Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $23.00 per hour

We are seeking a professional Security Guard who holds both a valid NYS Security Guard License and the FDNY Certificate of Fitness S-95. This position is located in a building that houses both Department of Education offices and social-services outreach programs. The guard will primarily be assigned to the DOE side but will occasionally interact with individuals seeking assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact in a reception-style role
• Provide directions and general information to visitors
• Monitor entry points and maintain access control
• Observe and report any irregularities or safety concerns
• Maintain a calm and professional presence when interacting with the public, including vulnerable individuals

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Security Guard License
• FDNY S-95 Certificate of Fitness (required)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain professional, patient, and approachable
• Prior experience in customer-facing security preferred
